Genting with the gang of six part 2

DAY 2 at genting! 

we started off the second day pretty late. taking our time to prepare for our breakfast. 

we reached the bakery- where we wanted to have our breakfast at. 

but then decided to switch over to the coffee terrace for buffet lunch since we were all super hungry.

not all the dishes were fantastic but there were very good dishes around. 

the best would be the satays!(: 

really good, i had more than 10 i think! 

and that cute soup is from xiano. 

their steamed white chicken or roasted chicken is awesome too! 

and i made a dumb mistake- thought the mushrooms on ice was cooked and served as cold dish. 

in the end is not:/ so unfortunately i would be laughed at for very long.

xiano has her otah joke too.

and a whole array of desserts. 

including the famous ( but me not so secretly hating it) rainbow cake. pretty but its just colourings!

maracon shells, yes, just the shells. #weird

they also serve bread and butter pudding!(: 

and this self made ice kacang! taste pretty good. 

and i love their coffee. 

went for a 4 hours long singing session at the first world plaza.

shihua randomly looked up and saw it. 

super happy. 

its only 66rm for 2 hours, 5 of all. 

so its like 5 bucks each! 

& then the guys suggested that we go play bowling. 

haven touched bowling for yearssss. 

super cool bowling place, playing all sorts of k pop songs and then with led lightings.

it turned out to be very fun(: 

two guys against three girls and we still lose to them. 

ended our game and went for dinner at hainan restorant or something like that. 

we din have time to go else where cux we had a movie at 8.45pm and it was already 8pm.

shihua's hainanese chicken rice. the chilli was good and thats all. 

mine- chicken curry. 

pretty normal. 

the guys went back to the room to get bernard who was revising his work. 

went for our movie after dinner. 

premium seats with a drink, a popcorn and a random snack! 

and its only rm18. 

we watched the cold war in cantonese- awesomeeee. 

went to make wishes at the wishing well!

went for the casino and also had a late night supper with jq,sh and bernard at kfc. 

we retired at 4 am, playing card games in our rooms! wonder why time passes sooo fast. 

and we woke up early for dim sum at Hao You Ji. 

love their liu sa baos. love those yellow liquid oozing out. 

their char siew bao are good too. 

bought some local delicacies and packed starbucks' juice and sandwiches and chatime bubble tea up the bus ride. 

everyone was super tired & we had more sleep. 

grasslands coaches are sooo awesome. its v comfortable and much much leg space and leaning back. 

dad come to pick us up at boon lay place.

memorable 3d2n at genting. 

its really the company that matters and we had so much fun tgt! 

gotta return cux din manage to visit the strawberry and mushroom farm and my theme park.

Genting for the gang of six part 1

Genting trip update!(: day 0 and 1.
Six of us went for this trip cux some of them couldn't make it due to work/ school:((
Had a great fun time and more memories created, of which I am sure can get repeated for a long time.

So on Friday night, all went to junqi house! To play mj overnight!!super on! Bonding session before the trip.
Xiano and I came back to my house at 5am to wash up before shihua's dad came 6plus!
Met the guys at boon lay place where we are supposed to board the coach! Were there too early and so we went for a breakfast before setting off!

Planned to sleep a good six hours but then apparently we had so much to talk about, and we only managed a little sleep:/

Finally reached genting at about 3 did our check in. We had a non smoking connecting room! Rem to ask for that cux it's awesome! Always go over to the guys' room to play games (so that ours stay clean for us to sleep!) and can use their room's hairdryer!
& finally, we went for our first meal(;

The meal was really really awesome. Its been such a long time since I had ba kut teh! But we all love the chicken cooked in white wine even more! had a satisfying first meal in genting(: a huge bu kut teh, a medium chicken dish and some veg, braised egg, you tiao sides for rm120!(: cheap for six pax.
Explored the place and wanted to find the karaoke that pandas went the last time we were here.
Realised it closed for renovation:(
The guys and xiano were tired and went back to rest awhile before dinner.

And of course, Shibam and I took the time to shop to our heart's content! 2 hours of solid shopping!(:
Din managed to finish everything there but our legs were giving way!
Managed to get two pairs of flats at rm90. Which is about 18sing a pair.
Quite a steal I would say cux I have been looking around for a nice red pair of flats!(: and cheap red flats usually don't look nice enough.
Big hole at sasa! Love shopping at beauty outlets overseas!(:
Bought b.liv- off with those heads, it seems pretty good, so it's a good rm 140 investment!
And also this pre make up serum from neogence! It's an amazing alternative to the Clinique moisture surge which sells at a crazy price.
Lastly a necklace from voir. Rm23 after discount. Not exactly cheap but then the quality looks good and I don't have something like that.



Went back to the room to meet the guys and Xiano!

Dinner was at BUBBLES AND BITES!

awesome place for food and it's unbelievably cheap!!
Their carbonara was awesome and only rm18! It would be selling at 18 sing in singapore!

And the bread and butter pudding was awesome @ rm6. Awwww..could do some right now.

We then spent the night at casinos! Virgin visit and it was so fun:D paired up w cl and we did managed to win some moolahs! The rest went back to wash up first while we continued till 1am before returning. Played cards till 3 in the morning before we call it a day!

Meet up at au chocolat and kiseki.

Tuesday, i had a meet up linglin for lunch at Marina bay Sands -Au chocolat.

 

A whimsical place that is good for chilling, chit chatting with friends(:

too bad shibam couldnt join us, but she hates chocolate anyway, and wouldnt believe me when i told her au chocolat sells more than just chocolate.

anyway, i had the great carnivore($20) for myself and she had sweet savory pancakes ($16).

 

Quite a normal dish for mine.

Nothing to be wowed with.

Eggs with cheese, ham, mushrooms/ brioche/ hashbrown/ bacon all put tgt.

Quite filling actually and the compliment stops at that?

L's pancakes came prettily and she couldn't finish it too. Came w maple syrup that was too watery for our liking but i love my hashbrowns dipped with them!(:

 

also had a chocolate fudge.

seriously the thickest i have ever tried ( not in a good way).

watered it down with the iced water.

 

And we shared the truffle fries.

The smell was awesome. The tables beside us had them too and we were almost having truffle perfume, not that I am complaining!

Truffle fries had me and that's like the thing that is pulling me back for another visit.

Went for town shopping after that and i finally tried the highly raved taro milk tea from Share tea.

ehhh, seriously din like it:(

 

and on wednesday, meet up with the cousins- belle and ivan.
the rest had school. muahaha.
decided to try kiseki lunch buffet.
we reached at 11.30am and there was already a queue forming.seperate queues for the walk in and reservations, but the walk in counter was faster, ironically.

So glad we can have the lunch price which is $19.80! For the spread and quality, it's quite worth it.

But perhaps I won't say the same for the dinner price.

Had my fill of salmon sashimi.love them so much, dipped in loads of wasabi(:

And i love the pot of soup which had thinly sliced pork belly in them. Awesome!

Chicken and pork grilled on the spot was good too! We had two orders for that.

There is a wide selection for desserts too. Waffles plus my fav strawberry sauce and maple syrup.

Enjoyed the lunch and the environment was great. We had a seat beside the glass ceiling(:

Shopping in town again! Loots this time round.

Belle and I are harmful to each other's wallet. Got a gap sweater together!(: and both of us had a pair of glitter flats from mitju.

seriously huge fan of their glitter range, either they need to stop coming up with new colours or i did to stop visiting them!

 

the super cute pair of flats from dip drops. 120 bucks for it. too much to ask from a currently unemployed and pending graduation student.

haha, and i have to a good mind to blacklist belle if my wallet needs to be saved. Mel and joy too.

I always spend the most with them around.

Really got the crazy happy adrenaline rush and you become so engrossed and happy when you finally hand over your money and have that item in your hand.

really, truth behind a shopaholic.

Went back to belle's place and did my nails at her house before heading out with them for teochew porridge(:

Of Taiwanese and Korean dramas

Yes, call me an addict to these shows!

Introducing the taiwanese and Korean dramas that are of recent and I have watched and is still watching(:

The newest one would be taiwan's I rent a boyfriend. First ep up only and it looks promising. Favoritism by me because I love the male lead!(: 

The next is 真爱趁现在.

It's the third or fourth 80 eps long idol drama by taiwan. The first was so good - 真爱找麻烦, ti-amo chocolate and the sweet bodyguard were hard to watch so lets pray this is good. The second male lead is one of my favourite too!(:

花是爱 which just ended! Well, not amazingly good and I skipped some eps away.

Taiwan's drama hasn't been that awesome ever since 我可能不会爱你!

Which is really awesome with chen bo lin and Ariel Lin. They both won the best actor and actress for this show!

Korean dramas had more to offer and there are so many worth watching! 

i dont even know which one is the best!!! cux they each have their awesome parts! 

okay, still first in place should be The Gentleman's dignity. 

cux its has no parts that are boring. 4 couples and 4 interesting stories.

next is this!!!(: 

can tear like mad for this. really. i finished more than a pack of tissue. 

the guy really really can melt hearts. 

see his smile. omgggg.

and then there is faith, with tons of boringgg parts. 

but then lee min ho is still super hotttt. 

and he is the only reason for watching.

the moon that embraces the sun. it was heartbreaking too. love both the male leads.

 

to a beautiful you. normal plot which features a girl acting as a guy to enter a all males school. the remake of the famous japanese comic i think. taiwan's version was out long ago. 

and then rooftop prince. it was funny and romantic too!(:

Free like a bird!

Tuesday was the final paper and me and junqi has the same paper. 

he came over to study in the morning. 

HAHA. act yi ge study more like it. 

keep shaking head and laughing at me for memorising the facts. 

went to star vista to meet xiano after that. ate at star vista's texas chicken. 

still prefer popeyes over it. 

bought some cute tidbtis at the jap tidbits store there. 

and got a casing from xiano!:D

after that met shibam at jp to have her dinner. 

central hk eatery. we three had milk tea cux dinner was already done. haha! 

din get bombarded by her. 

and then had our mj rounds! shibam did not join cux she had to work:( 

zhen hui joined us and we played till 5am. crazyyyy. 

lesser sleep then exams period. 

the tao huey that junqi did with his family. nice!!

thursday is good to me too. 

went for brunch at hatched with boon yang and sissy! 

had the ozzly baked egg for 12 bucks. 

its nice. love the mixed up of bacon, eggs,mushroom, cheese and onion.

Had our desserts at the daily scoop. 

mister salted caramel ice cream. 

not many share my love for it:( sobs!

headed back home and xiano, yyj and junqi came over to have mahjong before we head to jp for this!

 

everyone should watch it man. 

its really funny and i had a really good laugh.
